Volume 2 2000
Clarkrange Hunting Lodge News!

While in Africa I was very pleased with the heavy bookings we had during the summer of 2000. Drew Davis, our head guide took charge of the hunting and sent nearly 80 clients home very happy. We shot many a boar and one nice Axis Buck in velvet which should make a super mount. Overall, everything is running wide open here in Tennessee. We've added some new treestand sites for exotic hunting and have experienced good success from them already on Fallow Deer and some of the rams. We're also shooting a record number of Presidential Wild Boar which weigh over 300 pounds and display quite a bad attitude. We've already taken one 375 pounder with 6" tusks exposed. Our regular boar hunts are also producing some very nice trophies. Give us a call if you'd like more info.

The Classic Is Here

After two years in the planning and building, the first 'Ken Moody Classic' Hunting Rifle has finally arrived and we are ready to fill all orders within 90 days door to door. The Classic is a beautiful rifle built on German mauser actions and hand checkered stocks. All actions are original Oberndorf or DWM authentic mauser actions. No substitutes will ever be utilized. Each action is totally refurbished and functions flawlessly. The controlled round feed of the mauser action cannot fail! each rifle is hand engraved with tasteful scrollwork and each stock is single lined, full paneled hand checkered. Vian Kruger our master gunsmith builds each rifle one at a time to ensure total quality control. These rifles are true works of art designed for the discriminating connoisseur of fine rifle art. Yes, these rifles are expensive by most American standards, but they're well worth the investment.

OTHER NEWS!

Ken Moody Productions is busy on two new videos (of course you've heard that before). Seriously, I've enough footage for many tapes but believe  I'm ready to finish new boar and African tapes soon. The African video, which I've changed the name to "Bushmaster," will feature Cape Buffalo, Elephant, Eland, and numerous heads of plains game. There will also be many client shots displaying KMS clients with some of their trophies. I believe it'll be a hot tape when it's completed. The boar tape will of course focus on the rough and tumble, never say die, wild boar and will be action packed from start to finish. These tapes should be finished and ready by the end of December provided I can find a little time to make it happen.
