Clarkrange Hunting
Lodge News

Wild Boar
Hunting Fees have increased slightly for '99 with a boar hunt now being $475. Still cheaper than most of my competition, still buying the finest boar hunt in the U.S.
Exotics
We're still hunting beautiful exotics such as Corsicans and Fallow or Sika Deer. Prices are the same as last season.
Red Stag
We grow 'em big at Clarkrange. Our Red Stags are extremely nice this season with 6x6s and one 7x6 available. All stags have the "crown' atop their antlers ensuring that they are the real thing. Priced to shoot at $3950.

Guide News
Most of our same old good guides are back including Drew, Jamie, Bobby, Wade, and Anthony. Each looks forward to making your Clarkrange stay memorable.

KEN MOODY SAFARIS '99
Our '99 season was outstanding with each client bagging an average of 6-8 species each. I'm really excited about next year. Our bowhunting hides are in place on our South African side giving us approximately 25 separate hunting stations. Additionally, we've become quite good at setting up temporary bush blinds on natural water holes which proved extremely productive this season. One treestand location, for instance, yielded an Eland kill in just two hours of waiting with an additional 35 Eland, 8 Kudu, 6 Gemsbok, and warthogs visiting the site the same day! Not too shabby. When it comes to bowhunting Africa, KMS stands well above the rest. Our rifle hunters also excelled. Lou Rigato, for example, bagged 2 Kudu, a Waterbuck, an Eland, a Gemsbok, a Nyala, a Bushbuck, 2 Impala, and a Warthog on his '99 Safari. What's really impressive is that almost the entire bag was taken in only seven days of hunting! Truly outstanding! Dave Matkin finally got the monkey off his back when he arrived in camp with a customized Remington .375 H & H Mag. The highlight of his hunt was the taking of a Zebra stallion at 386 yards. Dave was truly the man on that particular day. He also bagged a beautiful 35" Eland Bull. Our High Country Archery sweepstakes hunt went better than expected as we hosted Spencer Land, owner of the company, as well as the editor of Bowhunting World, Mike Strandlund, Patrick Meitin, writer for Petersen's Bowhunting, and the sweepstakes winners, Jeff Blodgett and Adam Donegan. This was Adam's very first bowhunt and he performed admirably. Jeff Blodgett was able to put an arrow in a Kudu Bull, Gemsbok. Nyala Bull. Bushbuck Ram, and three Impala Rams. All on one 7 day hunt!
